Refund Policy

When we automatically refund

  • Generation failure. If our system reports the review as failed, you can request a refund directly from the review page. The full purchase amount is refunded to your original payment method.
  • Page-cap rejection. If your manuscript exceeds the page cap of the tier you purchased, the system rejects the submission before charging. If you were charged in error, contact us for an immediate refund.
  • Service outage. If your review has not started within 24 hours of payment, you are entitled to a full refund.

When we may refund at our discretion

  • The review output is plainly defective: empty sections, hallucinated citations on every reference, or content unrelated to your manuscript. Email us with the review ID and a description of the defect.
  • You purchased the wrong tier or add-on by mistake and contact us within 24 hours of payment, before the review has been delivered.

What counts as “delivered”

A review is delivered when the review page renders the completed output and the “review ready” email is sent to the address Stripe captured at checkout. Once delivered, refunds for substantive disagreement with the AI’s feedback are not available; the rules below govern.

When we do not refund

  • You did not like the substantive feedback. The review reflects the AI’s assessment of your manuscript; disagreement with that assessment is not grounds for a refund.
  • Your manuscript was rejected by a journal after using our review. Our service makes no claim about journal acceptance outcomes.
  • You forgot to apply a discount code at checkout. Codes cannot be applied retroactively.

How to request a refund

For automatic refunds, click the “Request Refund” button that appears on a failed review page. For all other cases, email support@manuscriptrx.com with your review ID and a brief explanation. We respond within two business days.

Processing time

Approved refunds are issued via Stripe to the original payment method. Funds typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
